DESCRIPTION

In 2025, to mark the 75th anniversary of Peanuts, Monnaie de Paris celebrates the famous gang of friends. Snoopy is the main character of the collection and decides to cross the Atlantic ocean to travel to France for his birthday.

On the obverse of this coin, Snoopy is leaning nonchalantly against the coin's scroll. He is wearing a jumper embroidered with the name ‘Joe Cool’ and sunglasses. Woodstock, his best friend, is flying next to him. Behind them, the Eiffel Tower rises out of a cloudy sky through which a plane flies. Passport stamps decorate the polished background of the coin; like the suitcase at his feet, they refer to the journey Snoopy is making to get to Paris.

On the reverse, against a background engraved with dog paw prints, Snoopy is nestled on the face value of each coin and looks up at his friend Woodstock perched on the letters of the euro or the word RF. The name Peanuts and the anniversary commemoration can also be found.
